To join the EdgeHacks Winter 23/24 Hackathon, participants must initially sign up for the event via Devpost. After completing their registration, they are advised to review the challenge categories and necessary submission guidelines.

We strongly suggest that participants kick off by ideating for their projects and delving into potential solutions relevant to their selected category. Collaboration is encouraged, so forming teams and working collectively is beneficial for refining ideas.

Throughout the hackathon duration, participants will benefit from webinars and workshops led by seasoned industry professionals, offering valuable guidance on crafting effective solutions. Moreover, participants have the opportunity to engage with mentors who will offer continuous support and insights during the event.

Requirements

What to Build

In this hackathon, participants are expected to construct a functional prototype or solution, be it a website, application, product, or similar, targeting a distinct challenge within the categories of:

  • Sustainability
  • Education
  • Health and Wellness
  • Social Justice

Engaging their expertise and creativity, participants should craft innovative solutions poised to foster positive change within their communities and on a larger scale. We urge participants to embrace creativity, think innovatively, and challenge conventional boundaries.

What to Submit

Participants are expected to upload their projects on Devpost, ensuring the inclusion of the following components:

A concise video demonstration of their solution, limited to 3 minutes.

A project description detailing the addressed challenge, target audience, and the methodology behind the solution's development. This should encompass pertinent data like market research, user feedback, or insights from experts.

A pitch deck, spanning a maximum of 10 slides, highlighting the problem statement, the proposed solution, and its anticipated impact. Incorporating essential data such as market research, user feedback, or expert opinions is essential.

The submission must be articulate, compact, and offer an in-depth insight into the team's solution. Participants should consider adding supplementary details or resources that aid judges in comprehending and assessing their project.
